 I ran an Etsy shop making custom 3D printed cookie cutters. We were one of maybe 3 people in the US doing that sort of work and I made sure that any design I made was high quality and something I would want to own. For about a year everything was great and we were the go to shop. Then the Chinese companies moved in. They had terrible designs, but were cheaper. At first it was ok but then they started manipulating the search results by basically making dozens of listings for each design and creating multiple clone companies all using the same designs and numbering for their products.
